The Science Research Investment Fund (SRIF) is a joint initiative by the Office of Science and Technology (OST) and the Department for Education and Skills (DfES). Its purpose is to contribute to higher education institutions' (HEIs) long-term sustainable research strategies and address past under-investment in research infrastructure.
SRIF also takes into account the need for institutions to make their expertise and facilities more open to access by business, and encourage collaboration between HEIs, industry, charitable bodies, Government and other partners. |
